Returns & Refunds Policy

Effective Date: 1 November 2024 | Last Amended: 1 January 2026

This Returns & Refunds Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service and applies to all transactions on the Bseech platform, including product purchases, article views, task/service payments, and wallet transfers.

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE

This policy governs refunds for different transaction types. Refund eligibility varies based on the nature of the purchase (physical goods, digital products, services, article views, task completions). All refund requests are subject to verification and fraud prevention measures. By using Bseech, you agree to these terms.

1. Definitions

For purposes of this Returns & Refunds Policy:

  • "Physical Product" means any tangible good sold through the Bseech marketplace that requires shipping.
  • "Digital Product" means any downloadable or instantly accessible content, including software, eBooks, templates, and digital art.
  • "Article View" means a paid view of a published article on the platform, charged at the rate set by the article creator.
  • "Task/Service" means any job, delivery, consultation, or service provided by one user to another through the platform.
  • "Wallet Transfer" means a peer-to-peer transfer of funds between user accounts.
  • "Refund Period" means the time frame within which a refund request must be initiated after the transaction date.

2. Physical Products Returns & Refunds

2.1 Return Eligibility

Physical products purchased through the Bseech marketplace may be returned within fourteen (14) calendar days of delivery, provided that:

  • The product is unused, unwashed, and in its original packaging with all tags attached.
  • The product is not marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" at the time of purchase.
  • The buyer provides photographic evidence of the product's condition.

2.2 Non-Returnable Products

The following physical products are NOT eligible for return or refund:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, etc.).
  • Personalized or custom-made items.
  • Intimate or sanitary goods (underwear, swimwear, face masks).
  • Hazardous materials or flammable liquids.
  • Gift cards or digital vouchers.

2.3 Return Process

To initiate a physical product return:

  1. Contact the seller directly through the chat system within 14 days of delivery.
  2. Provide order number, product ID, and reason for return.
  3. Seller must respond within 3 business days with return shipping instructions.
  4. Buyer ships the product at their own cost unless the product is defective or incorrectly sent.
  5. Upon receipt and inspection, seller has 5 business days to issue a refund.

Shipping Costs: Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to seller error (wrong item, defective product). Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer unless the seller agrees otherwise.

3. Digital Products

3.1 No Refunds for Digital Products After Download

Due to the instant delivery nature of digital products, NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS are offered once the product has been downloaded, accessed, or viewed. This includes:

  • Software, plugins, and code files.
  • Digital art, graphics, and templates.
  • eBooks, PDF guides, and digital courses.
  • Music, audio files, and stock footage.

3.2 Exception for Defective Files

If a purchased digital product is corrupted, unreadable, or missing essential files, the buyer must notify the seller within seven (7) calendar days. The seller must provide a working replacement within 3 business days. If replacement is impossible, a refund may be issued at Bseech's discretion after technical verification.

Note: "Change of mind" or "did not meet expectations" are NOT valid grounds for a digital product refund.

4. Article View Charges

4.1 No Refunds for Article Views

Payments made to view articles on the Bseech platform are FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. The view fee (typically $0.0001 to $0.01 per view) is non-recoverable because:

  • The content is consumed immediately upon viewing.
  • Funds are instantly credited to the article creator's wallet.
  • There is no way to "un-view" an article.

4.2 Technical Issues

If you were charged for an article view but could not access the content due to a platform technical error, you may request a refund within forty-eight (48) hours. Bseech will investigate the technical logs and issue a refund only if a verified system error prevented content delivery.

Duplicate Charges: The platform prevents duplicate charges for the same article within 24 hours. If you were incorrectly charged twice, contact support for immediate reversal.

5. Tasks, Services & Courier Deliveries

5.1 Refund Eligibility for Incomplete Services

If a task or service is initiated but not completed, the following refund rules apply:

  • Job Not Started: If the provider has not begun the service (status = 'pending'), the customer may cancel and receive a full refund within 2 hours of booking.
  • Job In Progress (Provider Assigned): If cancellation occurs after assignment but before work begins, a 50% refund may be issued, with 50% retained as cancellation fee to compensate the provider for committed time.
  • Job In Progress (Work Started): If the service has commenced, refunds are determined on a case-by-case basis through the dispute resolution process (see Section 11).
  • Job Completed: No refunds for completed services unless the work was demonstrably fraudulent or not performed as agreed.

5.2 Courier/Delivery Services (Taxi, Courier)

For location-based services (Taxi, Courier):

  • Driver Not Arrived: Full refund if driver fails to arrive within 30 minutes of estimated arrival time.
  • Driver Arrived But No Trip: 80% refund (20% retained as dispatch fee).
  • Driver Arrived & Trip Completed: No refund unless the delivery was to the wrong address or items were damaged (see Section 5.3).

Cancellation Window: Cancellations must be initiated through the chat system using the system action 'cancel_proposal' or 'cancel' buttons. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.

6. Wallet-to-Wallet Transfers

6.1 No Reversal of Completed Transfers

Peer-to-peer wallet transfers are IRREVERSIBLE once confirmed. Before sending funds:

  • Verify the recipient's username and email address.
  • Double-check the transfer amount.
  • Confirm the purpose of the transfer.

6.2 Stolen or Unauthorized Transfers

If you believe your account was compromised and unauthorized transfers occurred:

  • Contact Bseech security immediately at security@bseech.com.
  • We will freeze the recipient account pending investigation.
  • If the funds remain in the recipient's wallet, we may reverse the transfer in whole or in part.
  • If the funds have been withdrawn, we cannot guarantee recovery but will cooperate with law enforcement.

WARNING: Sending funds to the wrong user (e.g., typo in username) is YOUR responsibility. No refunds will be issued.

7. Withdrawal Requests (Cashing Out)

7.1 Canceling a Withdrawal

Withdrawal requests can be canceled only while in 'pending' status. To cancel:

  • Navigate to Wallet → Withdrawal History.
  • Click "Cancel Request" next to the pending withdrawal.
  • Funds will be returned to your Bseech wallet balance within 5 minutes.

7.2 No Refunds for Completed Withdrawals

Once a withdrawal has been processed and marked 'completed' (funds sent to your bank, PayPal, or crypto wallet), the transaction cannot be reversed. Bseech is not responsible for:

  • Incorrect wallet addresses provided by you.
  • Bank processing delays or errors.
  • Cryptocurrency network fees or price volatility.
  • PayPal holds or freezes imposed by PayPal.

8. Refund Processing & Timeline

Approved refunds are processed according to the following schedule:

Note: Refunds to external payment methods (credit cards, PayPal) may take an additional 5-10 business days depending on your financial institution.

9. Refund Fees & Deductions

9.1 Restocking Fees

For physical product returns (non-defective), a 15% restocking fee may be deducted from the refund amount to cover handling, inspection, and relisting costs.

9.2 Payment Processing Fees

Original payment processing fees (charged by Stripe, PayPal, Paystack) are non-refundable and will be deducted from refund amounts unless the refund is due to seller error or Bseech platform error.

9.3 Chargeback Fee

If a customer initiates a chargeback with their bank or credit card issuer instead of following this return policy, Bseech reserves the right to charge a $25.00 dispute fee for each chargeback, in addition to recovering the original transaction amount.

Example Calculation: Product purchased for $100. Payment fee = $3.50. Customer returns for refund. Refund amount = $100 - $15 restocking - $3.50 fee = $81.50 returned to wallet.

10. Dispute Resolution Process

If a refund request is denied by the seller or provider, the buyer may escalate to Bseech dispute resolution:

  1. Attempt Direct Resolution (3 days): Communicate with the seller via the chat system. Most disputes are resolved here.
  2. File a Dispute (Day 4-14): Use the 'dispute' system action in chat. Provide evidence: screenshots, order numbers, tracking information, photographs of damaged items.
  3. Bseech Review (5-10 business days): Our dispute resolution team investigates both parties' evidence.
  4. Decision & Resolution: Bseech's decision is final and binding. Options include: full refund, partial refund, no refund, or escrow fund release to seller.

Evidence Requirements: To prevail in a dispute, buyers must provide clear photographic evidence, video proof, or third-party documentation. Sellers must provide proof of delivery, proof of work completion, or chat logs showing buyer agreement.

11. Fraud & Abuse Prevention

11.1 Abusive Return Behavior

The following behaviors constitute return abuse and may result in account suspension or permanent ban:

  • Requesting refunds for items that were delivered as described (buyer's remorse).
  • Returning counterfeit or empty boxes instead of original items.
  • Excessive return rate exceeding 50% of purchases within 90 days.
  • Claiming non-delivery when tracking shows delivered.

11.2 False Disputes

Knowingly filing a false dispute or chargeback constitutes fraud. Bseech will:

  • Permanently suspend the offending account.
  • Reverse any refunds obtained fraudulently.
  • Report the incident to appropriate law enforcement authorities (CFTC, IC3, local police).
  • Seek recovery of amounts plus $100 administrative fee.

12. Limitation of Refund Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BSEECH'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY REFUND SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ORIGINALLY PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC TRANSACTION. BSEECH IS NOT LIABLE FOR:

  • Consequential damages (lost profits, lost time, business interruption) arising from a refund delay.
  • Third-party payment processor delays (bank wire times, PayPal holds).
  • Cryptocurrency price changes between purchase and refund.
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, war, internet outages).

13. International & Jurisdictional Refunds

For customers in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days (Cooling-off Period) for physical products only, subject to the exceptions in Section 2.2. This right does NOT apply to:

  • Digital products that have been downloaded or streamed.
  • Services that have been fully performed.
  • Personalized or custom-made goods.

For other jurisdictions (US, Canada, Australia, UK, etc.), this policy governs all refunds. Your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws remain unaffected to the extent they cannot be overridden by contract.

14. Changes to This Policy

Bseech reserves the right to modify this Returns & Refunds Policy at any time. Material changes (e.g., reduced refund windows, new restocking fees) will be communicated via:

  • Email to registered users 30 days in advance.
  • Platform notification banners.
  • Updated "Last Amended" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. Transactions initiated before a policy change are governed by the policy in effect at the time of the transaction.

15. Refund & Dispute Contact

All refund inquiries, dispute escalations, and return authorization requests must be directed to:

  • Response Time: 2-3 business days for dispute acknowledgment; 10-14 days for investigation.
BY MAKING A PURCHASE, TASK BOOKING, OR WALLET TRANSACTION ON BSEECH, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT REFUND ELIGIBILITY VARIES BY TRANSACTION TYPE AND THAT FRAUDULENT RETURN CLAIMS WILL RESULT IN PERMANENT ACCOUNT TERMINATION.
